Please Link to Athena.org

We'd love to have you link to our site,
From your site,
From your signature file,
And more!
Show the world what you believe in.
Here are several ways you can do it.

Plain Text Link

Simplest way, just add the following text to a web page.
<A HREF="http://www.Athena.org/">Athena, Goddess of Wisdom</A>

Owl Picture Link on Your Server

This type of link uses an image on your server. You can use other images as links in this manner. Note that the BORDER=0 in the IMG tag turns off the box that would show around the image when it is used as a link.
OFFICIAL STATEMENT: Revocable permission is hereby granted to use the image of the www.Athena.org owl as a link to our site provided that:
1. the image is not altered in any way;
2. the image is used as a link to pages on www.Athena.org;
3. this permission may be withdrawn at any time and for any reason, at which time the person linking agrees to promptly remove said link.
(The above legalese essentially lets us recover our image if it lands on a suicidal satanic cult site or such. Then again, we might just leave it on a site like that to give the victims an exit to sanity if they do not disrupt our chat forums.)
Click on the owl image
Save the owl to your web server.
Add the following code to your web page. (You can change the ALIGN to left or right, or leave it out altogether.)
<A HREF="http://www.Athena.org/">
<IMG SRC="owl.gif/" BORDER=0 ALIGN=RIGHT >
<BR CLEAR>Athena, Goddess of Wisdom</A>

Owl Picture Link on Our Server

This is a banner promotion type of link, where the image stays on our server.
OFFICIAL STATEMENT: Revocable permission is hereby granted to link to the image "/promo/owl.gif" at the www.Athena.org site for the purpose of using it as a link to www.Athena.org provided that:
1. the image is used as a link to web pages on www.Athena.org;
2. the person placing the link accepts that we may change the image from time to time; said image will continue to promote and reflect the content of www.Athena.org, but may contain improvements or altered thematic content;
3. this permission may be withdrawn at any time and for any reason, at which time the person linking agrees to promptly remove said link.
(That is so that if you should start getting 5 million visitors a day, we don't have to bankrupt ourselves trying to serve the image for you. But if you do get 5 million hits a day, I am sure we can work something out.)
Add the following HTML code to your web page: (You can change the ALIGN to left or right, or leave it out altogether.)
